What's this all about?

PAIRS stands for Practical Application of Intimate Relationship Skills and consists of 40 conversational tools, initially developed for intimate relationships. However, it has been found to be just as effective to help strengthen and repair general human connection between two individuals. For over 40 years this curriculum has been refined and applied for adult singles, couples and youngsters.

However, a major obstacle standing in the way of the practical application has been the availability of practice partners. For many it's not a trivial task to find able and willing partners at the right time to exercise these tools.

This is where we can leverage recent  advancements in AI. We're building an AI chat module instructed to hold conversations that follow the format of the PAIRS curriculum.

We will start with one of the most basic tools: Talking Tips.

Talking Tips focuses on building empathy around a specific point of concern. The person who brings up the concern will follow a list of ten or more prompts, while the person who listens will attempt to paraphrase and empathize with their concern. The prompts are pictured. Of course, one can only improve with practice, and that's the gap we hope to fill. Want to learn more? Sign up for the wait-list and we'll be in touch!
